RapTranslations.com opened its virtual doors during the summer of 2004 as a resource for any human to easily understand Hip Hop & Rap music lyrics through the site’s unique lyric translations.

Lyrics of today’s most popular Hip Hop & Rap songs, as well as their plain English translations, are regularly added to the site. Frequently used terms can be referenced in the RapTranslations.com Dictionary. Users are also able to request and submit their own translations to the site.

It is hoped that by translating some of the most complex Rap songs into a more easily understood, plain English language, a larger audience can begin to appreciate Rap music.

Translations are created by the RapTranslations.com staff – Brandon Rodriguez, Brian Kennedy, and Neil Amin. Each carefully analyzes the song’s lyrics and translates its context into plain English, at which point the translation can be added to the website.
